There are many programs available in Santa Clarita Valley to pursue a career in nursing! And we are here to help you pass the prerequisites to enter Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nursing programs (LVN). We have experience working with local universities:

  • College of the Canyons
  • Cal State Channel Islands
  • Cal State Los Angeles
  • Cal State Northridge
  • Glendale Community College
  • West Coast University
  • National University at the University Center
  • Ohio University

Qualified applicants for the RN and LVN programs will be required to take a state approved nursing assessment test (TEAS). Students must rank at the required level to be eligible for admission into the program. Currently, this is a 62% composite score based on the California Community College Chancellors Office recommendation. Valid photo ID must be presented at time of test. Final selections are made using both multi-criteria screening for ranking and random selection.

Enrollment in the nursing programs will allow students to earn an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BDN). To do so, we can help prepare you for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLX-RN). The NCLX-RN exam is given to determine your eligibility to practice as an entry-level nurse. It is significantly different from any examination that occurred in nursing school. The NCLEX-RN tests application and analysis using the nursing knowledge you learned in school. You will be tested on how you can use critical thinking skills to make nursing judgments.
